Howden Hua Compressor Factory opens

Howden Hua’s new purpose built blower and compressor assembly and testing plant at the existing Laoji site in Weihai was formally opened on 7 September 2007.

Attending the ceremony were Weihai City and Development Zone Government officials, customers, suppliers, senior members of Howden Global and a number of Howden Hua staff.

The factory supplies Howden’s range of process gas compressors and turbo compressor air blowers. Specific products are screw compressor systems, Burton Corblin® piston and diaphragm compressors and, for blower applications, the high efficiency Donkin turbo compressors.

The opening was preceded by the official signing of Harbin Wenchang blower contract, which is our second order for the water market and the third for blowers. The main opening ceremony started in the afternoon, with speeches by Mr. Zhang Jianjun, Director of Weihai Economic and Technical Development Zone Administrative Committee and Mr. Bob Cleland, CEO Howden Global, followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony, fireworks and factory tour.  The opening culminated in the evening with speeches, banquet and entertainment for 140 guests.
