Howden wins Business of the Year at British Chamber Awards 2009
The British Chambers of Commerce have announced Howden Group Ltd. as Business of the Year for 2009.
Howden CEO Bob Cleland was presented with the prize at a packed awards event in the National History Museum in London on Thursday November 26th 2009. "Given Howden's long history as an engineering company founded in the west of Scotland 155 years ago, I'm especially proud on behalf of all our employees to have won this national UK award". said Mr Cleland.
Howden, a member of Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce, has already been recognized at the recent Glasgow Business Awards, picking up three prizes including the Bank of Scotland Award for Most Outstanding Business, and the Scottish Engineering Award in May for its significant contribution made to raising standards within the engineering sector.
