Howden Australia is accredited to ISO 9001:2000 for quality management and registered for accreditation to ISO/OHS 18001 for health and safety and ISO 14001 for environmental management.
Quality Assurance
The Howden Australia Quality System has been approved to ISO
9001:2000.
We regularly review, develop, and implement changes to our management systems, quality manual, policies, procedures and systems.
In addition we continually develop and review demanding quality objectives in order to improve our products and services.
Occupational Health and Safety
Howden Australia is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for employees, contractors, customers and visitors by identifying and reducing the risks in all types of work activities that may produce personal injury or illness, damage to property, fire or security breaches. This commitment extends to ensuring that our operations do not place the local community at risk of injury, illness or property damage.
We provide information, instruction, training and supervision to employees, contractors and customers to increase personal understanding of workplace hazards, including safe work practices and emergency preparedness.
We aim to lead and encourage employee behavior and initiatives that contribute to a safer and improved work environment at all levels in the company.
We aim to set challenging targets, measure and regularly review progress to ensure we continuously improve our health and safety performance.
We are developing and implementing a comprehensive set of procedures to satisfy the requirements of Australian/New Zealand Standard AS 4801/ OSHAS 18001 1999, “Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Specification”.
Environment
Howden Australia recognizes a responsibility to its employees, customers and the environment, to minimize the impact of products and business processes on them.
To achieve this policy objective all our managers and staff work together to identify those product designs and processes within our business that may have a negative influence on the local and global environment.
We continually examine possible methods of waste reduction in the Company’s processes to minimize the consumption of all types of materials and consumables in both office and production areas.
We are progressively developing and implementing a comprehensive set of environmental management and process procedures to satisfy the requirements of Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 “Environmental Management Systems".
