Howden Australia History

 

1928    The company is renamed Howden Australia.

1948    James Howden Australia Pty Limited is formed, based in Melbourne,Victoria

1968    James Howden Australia relocates to new offices in Sydney, NSW

1970s   Howden Australia expands its activities in the power generation field by developing 
           a range of mixed flow fans and bag filters for use in large fossil-fired stations.

1991    Howden acquires the fan manufacturer A. S. Wheeler Pty Ltd.

1993    Fan manufacturers Powermax Pty Ltd and Pitstock Pty Ltd are acquired.

1996    Expansion continues with the acquisition of Hison, Aerodyne Fans (Pty) Ltd.

2000    The company is renamed Howden Australia.
